C-FLEX and C-SLAB Mechanistic Analysis Tools
The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) has developed a new desktop that includes two mechanistic analysis tools for computing the critical response of flexible and rigid pavements, C-FLEX and C-SLAB respectively. C-SLAB is a new 2-D finite element (FE) response model for rigid pavement analysis. C-FLEX is a new 2-D FE response model for flexible pavements. These pavement response models utilize 2-D FE analysis techniques to rapidly and accurately calculate the critical pavement response parameters of rigid and flexible pavements under a variety of loading conditions.
